Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Creamy Wensleydale cheese with chunks of dried almonds, toasted rye bread covered in duck pâté with orange rind. Rounds out with sage and peppermint creams.
Palate: Delicate balance of toasted rye, with orange marmalade, cedar wood and amber. Sweet peaches in syrup with mascarpone and peppermint, drying out to sawdust.
Finish: Medium. Drying into cedar wood, stem ginger and dark chocolate.
Comment: Interesting combination of creaminess and dry, woody notes.

Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Sweet and grainy. Agave nectar, white grape juice, elderflower, pear drop, and cut flower stems. Some red apple beneath.
Palate: Very light. Madagascan vanilla essence, custard cream biscuits, malted milk, and some pear drop.
Finish: Short and sweet. It evaporates swiftly, Slightly cooling.
Comment: Simple but pleasant. The grain whiskey is setting the pace here.
