Tasting notes
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Buttery vanillins, followed by fragrant notes, orchard fruits, sweet malt and a hint of char. Finally, peach blossom.
Palate: Pepper, vanilla, honey and overt oaky Bourbon character merge with fruitier, more malty characteristics.
Finish: Medium in length, with fatty spices and faintly smoky oak.
Comment: A curious beast! The name suggests a fusion of Bourbon and Scotch. Interesting idea in theory!
Taster   Joe Bates
Nose: Bit shy on the nose; what’s there is mostly caramel and vanilla.
Palate: Vanilla and oak play the starring roles here. A hint of warming peat lurks in the shadows. A touch thin in terms of mouthfeel.
Finish: Short, and sweet, a touch of dry spice.
Comment: This rather young, undeveloped Bourbon/Scotch whisky hybrid doesn’t work for me neat, but would probably drink better with a mixer like cola or ginger ale.
