Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Perfumy. Creamy. Coconut flan. Gorse. Opens like a flower in full blossom. Barleysugar, vanilla syrup. Waves of delicate sweetness swirling up. Then ripe fruit. Peaches, chasselas grapes.
Palate: Rich, smooth, caressing. With a controlled outburst of spices. Rolling on the tongue.
Finish: Long, smooth, refreshing on star anis and mint notes.
Comment: A perfectly mastered dram. Oak is integrated. The sweetness is balanced by spices. Complex, deep and fulfilling.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Over-ripe banana, a sweet cardboardy note, then lightly herbal and, weirdly, some verjus (ok..white wine vinegar). Becomes butyric in time, especially with water. Buttermilk. Sour.
Palate: Very light and quite piercing. All needling focus on the front of the tongue.
Finish: Hard.
Comment: Faulty for me.
