Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Vanilla and sugar. A winey edge to it, grape stalks. Fresh cut oak and somecitrus notes.
Palate: Starts with citrus sweetness then the alcohol kicks in. Spices on the middleof the tongue with that fresh oak.
Finish: Grippy and short.
Comment: The alcohol needs cutting back, but on the whole not unpleasant.
7.3
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Prickly with a slight vinegary note. Joiner's workshop. Sawdust, green wood. A distant floral note.
Palate: Sweet at start but the alcohol bites and numbs the tongue. Some spices and again green oak.
Finish: Dry, soothing on sweeter notes.
Comment: That whisky definitely needs water to cut the edges but it brings out bitterness. The balance is missing.
