Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: The notes from this glass are as distinctive as the accent from the country which produced this, and as warming, welcoming and authentic, too. Poached pear and sugar puffs with full cream milk.
Palate: Summer fruit crumble, honeycomb, ginger tea and malt are well balanced, but it could do with a better selection of casks. A slight bitterness of over brewed tea on the back of the palate which...
Finish: …is enhanced on the finish. Nearly there, but not quite.
Comment: A work in progress and a shame to have been cut off in mid-development.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: A full and barley nose with an almost rye-like herbal character. With time hints of acacia honey and caster oil coated almonds. Quite young and pleasantly raw and citric at the edges.
Palate: Softer, rounder, gentler and less edgy than the nose would suggest. Honeyed with that rye-like herbal character dominant. Hints of barley and lemon on the middle.
Finish: Medium length with a pleasant, lingering citric finish.
Comment: Appears to be a fairly young whisky but it has some charm. It would be interesting to see what a little more time would do for it.
