Tasting notes

Taster Joel Harrison

Nose: Safron and melon, Veg broth and peach melba. Brut aftershave.
Palate: A pretty direct whisky giving good malt, some ginger, mazipan, and Christmas cake.
Finish: Battenberg cake, black coffee and a hint of oak. Carrot cake.
Comment: This is afternoon tea. Not quite at the poshest restaurant in town, but the one next door. Slightly cheaper, no waiting time but equally as good.

Taster Annabel Meikle

Nose: Warm toffee sauce drizzled over Golden Syrup pudding with orange and saffron.
Palate: Very juicy and mouthwatering with rhubarb jam and ripe plum emerging. Warming cassia, aniseed and cinnamon on the side of the tongue with a little lavender after time.
Finish: The syrup-like texture becomes waxy.
Comment: A very quaffable dram.
