Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Pungent and phenolic but not hugely peated. Very coastal and citric with almost gristy barley notes, combined with malt biscuits, dunnage, astringent herbs and a touch of gooseberry.
Palate: Full, barley with gentle honey and crisp citrus. Darkens towards the middle as the malt appears along with some dry, woody peat and drier oak notes, although the sweetness balances.
Finish: Superb length. Dry and salty with lingering barley and citrus.
Comment: Beautifully poised and balanced. You have to love its intensity.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: An incredible waft of malt and vanilla drive this nose, as white flowers and peach develop to round off what is a sumptuous bouquet of aromas indeed.
Palate: A good solid balance of oak, vanilla, red summer fruits, white meadow flowers, some milk chocolate and full cream milk. Really very tasty.
Finish: Some spice, more oak and that big vanilla milkshake hit.
Comment: A lovely, well balanced dram; sets a benchmark for ‘good, ordinary well-made whisky’.
