Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Phenolic. Bags of creosote. Mineral. Pebbles drying in the sun.
Palate: Smooth and sweet. Lovely smoky maltiness wrapping up your tastebuds in smoke and soot. A citrus fruit touch.
Finish: Smoky, dry with a pleasant spiciness.
Comment: A well balanced islander. Feet in peat and head in smoke, standing in the briny air. With a warm heart. Great encounter.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Even as I opened the sample bottle the Islay character erupts. Peat fires, tarred rope, bracken laden Wellingtons.
Palate: A sweetness hits first then the smoke unfurls and coats the mouth with sootand sweet coal tar soap.
Finish: Swift but the spices are here.
Comment: If there was an outdoor dram this distillery does it.
