Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: A lightly icing sugar-dusted lemon muffin, with a lemon curd centre. Then crystallised ginger spice cuts through.
Palate: Things get a little richer, with malted milk biscuits, more lemon curd, freshly baked sourdough bread and a hint of green apple skin.
Finish: A light tropical fruit finish, with some of those sourdough notes.
Comment: This is definitely a sweet treat, with plenty of complexity and character.
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Strawberries, cherries, blackberries and subtle mint leaf. Dark chocolate, candied ginger, walnuts, Averna amaro, cinnamon, bitter orange.
Palate: Full. Intense cherry cola and candied orange, ginger ale and chewy caramels. Poached pear with cinnamon, a glug of brandy and lots of Muscovado sugar. Liquorice Allsorts and chocolate-coated raisins.
Finish: Long, on chocolate sauce before red apple.
Comment: Skip dessert and the digestif. Have this dram instead.
