Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Well that’s a bit different! Provençal herbs and malt biscuits with subtle sherry spice (cinnamon and ginger). Marc-like with a touch of salt.
Palate: Tart citrus, followed by light honey, malt, Provençal herbs and heather. Treacly sherry on the middle but it’s the herbal notes that take centre stage.
Finish: Long and crisp with the citrus returning, augmented by soft sherry spice and lingering rose petal.
Comment: Impressive and unlike a number of European whiskies it seems to have spent a bit of time in oak!

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Lots of new oak on the nose here, there is almost a young Bourbon note to the aromas, which gives this some body, but not enough age.
Palate: The spirit really kicks through here, fighting with the oak tannins. The result is a cacophony of flavour rather than a symphony of flavours.
Finish: Medium in length, there is polished wood and vanilla.
Comment: All the notes are there, it’s just a little too loud at the moment.
