Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Big, malty with liquorice and a hint of lilies. There is an earthy note, boot dubbin, Barbour jackets. A sweet, melted butter note develops.
Palate: Reminds me of sweet and sour sauce, mandarin juice with lime zest. Ametallic edge that gives way to a spiced hit.
Finish: Big, bold and spicy.
Comment: Seems to be well integrated and all the elements are in balance.

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Malty. Toffee. Stewed apples. A touch of praline. Sweet in time. Crèmecaramel. With a sour note which reminds of mustard or wasabi.
Palate: Sweet and round. Velvety. Caramel custard. Pears with a fudge sauce. Drying on spices.
Finish: Dry, spicy. Chilli and ginger.
Comment: Well balanced, on the spicy side. Plenty of rye.
