Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Starts creamy/buttery, then sooty smoke and hints of oily weight. Water teases out a marine/medicinal note and malty core. Gains power as it develops but is subtle and complex, not overpowering.
Palate: A firm structure with briny character on show. Great rich, quite oily feel. Mouthfilling and complex.
Finish: Decent length.
Comment: A lovely young Springbank with all the distillery's classic attributes.
8.5
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Citrus zest. Coconut. Salt.
Palate: Plenty of flavour development. Starts with coconut ice intense sweetness, moving to marshmallow-like maltiness, and then an astonishingly sudden rush of lemon juice.
Finish: Passion fruit. Hard and strong.
Comment: Jumps and bites. This is the young Springbank, not yet the mature sophisticate.
