Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Takes me back to Autumn, turning leaves, leaf mulch, fresh turned earth and gentle smoke. The there’s a zingy Key lime pie note, lemon curd and raw pastry notes. A treacle sweetness to it.
Palate: That sweetness and honey come through at first. Quite hot, alcohol prickle, but water helps. Tropical fruits come through with gentle smoke.
Finish: Short and swift, quite feisty and fizzy like sherbet, water brings out orange jelly.
Comment: Fun, big boned and water really helps it show its true colours though.

Taster Sam Coyne

Nose: Damp, leaves, cross-country at school, and mostly without the tears.
Palate: A warm prickle immediately, before the citrus zest is more apparent than on the nose. You almost get a cup of honey and lemon, with just the wisp of a nearby bonfire.
Finish: Very very short, but quite bright, after the palate.
Comment: A lot going on and one that I'm sure in the moment ticks a lot of people's boxes.
