Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Custard crème biscuits at first, then Danish pastries, apricot jam and Earl Grey tea. A little sweetness from tangerine juice. Toasted soda farls and salted butter, then it darkens with French polish and boot dubbin.
Palate: Sweet with a black banana note. Baked custard pie with nutmeg spices. Then a homemade ketchup edge – roasted tomatoes with sea salt and olive oil. Well aged Balsamic vinegar.
8.4
Taster   Sam Coyne
Nose: Apricots and satsumas. A faint waft of smoke and rum.
Palate: A really viscous mouthfeel that absolutely coats the tongue. Oak comes to the forefront and prickles. Sweetness takes over – with porridge covered in rich, runny honey.
Finish: Keeps hold of that sweetness, while a faint reminder of the oak just hovers around.
Comment: Nice enough and will really appeal to those after something sweet...
