Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Doesn’t give much away other than honey and light oak. In time lemon verbena, pencil boxes, faint throat sweets, menthol and spices. Barmbrack and white chocolate.
Palate: Sweetness full on, honey waffles with maple syrup. Chilli honey and clove laden orange liqueur. Pastry shop goodness and toasted nuts.
Finish: You think it’s gone, then the spices explode. Sweetness too.
Comment: Delightful and gentle on the nose, all the punch is in the taste and finish. Balanced near perfectly.

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: Well hello sandalwood and alpine trees. Woody, earthy, fruity and floral with fruit polos, lilies, damp bark chippings and rose oil. A dusting of icing sugar over banoffee pies shines through.
Palate: Seriously musky with autumnal notes appearing. Turkish delights, crème caramel, milk sorbet and even sautéed cabbage with roasted chilli flakes. White pepper. Damp wood crackling on an open fire.
Finish: Hot, musky and spicy all at once.
Comment: The newest advert for Old Spice.
