Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Oily. Lemon grass. Sweet lemons.
Palate: Fruity. Lemon curd. Marshmallows. Pastry. Icing sugar.
Finish: Spiciness and biscuity maltiness provide a balance.
Comment: I liked the lively 8 Years Old version. Would I be tempted away by something smoother, more mature? I would think about it...maybe.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Quite rich and sherried. Cake mix, dried fruits, tobacco, date and syrup you get in tins of fruit. Light milky note.
Palate: Big and robust with good malty attack. Fine, sweet mid-palate, but a little bitter on the sides.
Finish: Burnt orange, bitter.
Comment: A boisterous, roistering, very quaffable malt.
