Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light, nutty edge, moving into dried peach, mixed herbs, turf and wood shavings. Seems young with an aroma akin to wet pavements after the rain.
Palate: Buttery and tongue-coating. Sweet: a juicy centre then a crisp maltiness. Like eating Smarties.
Finish: Peppery and spicy.
Comment: Developing some weight. An older example will be interesting.
7.5
Taster   Peter Mulryan
Nose: Malt and grain, boiled sweets. A less aromatic and interesting bouquet than Cooley's Tyrconnell.
Palate: Lime and biscuits washed down with cream soda.
Finish: Spicy and strangely dry.
Comment: Although it says 'pure pot still' on the label, this is a single malt, there's no unmalted barley here. At 5 or so years old this malt is still a bit green.
