Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Chocolate covered hobnob, orange zest, mincemeat with rich dark fruits, almond and buttercream too. Then cinnamon spice heats things up in there.
Palate: Orange sponge cake, followed by cherries, whipped cream, almond flakes and raisins. There’s some candied peel in there, with flashes of dark chocolate. A dusting of nutmeg appears.
Finish: A gentle medium-length finish, with nutmeg whisked into cream.
Comment: Simply put, it’s enjoyable, gentle and balanced.
7.9
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Delicately grassy and floral, with bison grass, lemongrass and a whiff of lime zest. Subtle gentian and heather honey on digestive biscuit.
Palate: Very light. Those grassy notes are backed up by buttercream on sponge, dried red apple and milk biscuit dusted with icing sugar. A little vanilla fromage frais, too.
Finish: Short and sweet, on vanilla and pear drop.
Comment: A very summery and easy-going blend.
