Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Citrussy, tangy. Squeezed lemon, lemon balm. A mustard note.
Palate: Sweet at start but the alcohol sharpness quickly numbs the tongue. Light mouthfeel. Again this mustard note, nearly wasabi-like. Softer with a dash of water but still dry and spicy.
Finish: A fizzy feel with a numbing sensation.
Comment: What I would call a whisky-condiment. Bring the sushis and the makis.
Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: Rosewood, grilled pink grapefruit, rhubarb jam. Well integrated or just shy?
Palate: Tingling but with little flavour. It needs water to bring out some floral, toast with honey and sushi ginger.
Finish: A warm spiciness on the roof of your mouth.
Comment: I wanted this to deliver more to be honest, and would have expected it from the age and strength.
