Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Very closed at first, slowly waves of malt emerge, lemon syllabub, a faint farm yard note, a delicate apple vinegar note, just a touch of damp wood.
Palate: Quite lush and oily, a sweet fruitiness dominated the front, followed by fondant icing and barley sugar sweets.
Finish: Big, sweet and fruity. Astonishing finish.
Comment: Water ramps up the sweetness. A lovely drop.

Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: Autumnal gorse bushes, dried wood by the shore – very salty. Some cured lemon peel.
Palate: Hot and drying on the palate. Dusty hay and unforgiving smoke. No sweetness, only the sensation of it.
Finish: An over toasted maltiness and it just lacks a little body.
Comment: Too drying for my taste.
