Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty and nutty. Toasted hazelnuts, candied chestnuts. Praline. Opens on toffee notes. Enticing and appetising. Then pears poached in a vanilla syrup.
Palate: Smooth and sweet. Creamy fudge. Toffee. A hint of liquorice.
Finish: Sweet and nutty. Drying on some peppery notes.
Comment: A well balanced and generous dram. A delight for a sweet tooth.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: An excellent mature nose that smells of dunnage warehouses (damp earth, whisky-soaked oak, hessian). Some dried apple and sultana. With a drop of water a mealy/mash-tun note is revealed.
Palate: A laid-back, late-afternoon kind of a dram that mixes very gentle fruits with ginger snaps.
Finish: Simple and short.
Comment: Soft and very easy.
