Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fresh, malty. Sweet vanilla yoghurt, lemon sherbet. Biscuity. Wafer. Honey syrup. Getting minty on time. Very much a springtime aromatic profile.
Palate: Smooth and sweet at first then a spicy outburst gives a dry and fizzy feel. But the alcohol is well mastered. Creamy custard. Stone fruit. Victoria plums. Apple juice. Lemon posset. Touch of pear drop.
Finish: Medium long, soothing on vanilla biscuit flavours.
Comment: A lovely, fresh and conversational dram. A dash of water brings out more sweetness. A spring celebration in itself.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Big malty notes, malted milk biscuits, runny honey, vanilla spiced sugar, a hint of citrus, those Dutch syrup waffle biscuits.
Palate: Mellow and smooth, despite the alcohol everything is well integrated. Spices build with citrus notes, malted biscuits again, a touch of baked date slices.
Finish: Takes its time, lingering, then dries with the spices.
Comment: One for the warming days, would be a joy in a hip flask.
