Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Dried kelp, quite minerally, warming stones, fudge, clotted cream and vanilla wafers. In time biscuits and hot chocolate.
Palate: Quite savoury to start, rye bread buns fresh from the oven, air dried meatsand then some stewed fruits.
Finish: Quite long and lush.
Comment: Very dense, packed with layers of flavour.
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Blackberry pie crust, dark chocolate, desiccated coconut, marshmallows,crème brûlée filling, fresh vanilla pods and dark honey.
Palate: Very sweet on the first sip, with white chocolate, a touch of tinned peach, artificial cream and a little dash of spice.
Finish: Lingering American oak notes, with a touch of dryness.
Comment: Approaching its twilight years, but still with a definite spring in its step. Verynicely balanced indeed.
