Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Creamy, icing sugar, a faint Parma violet note, Honey Nut cornflakes, horse tack rooms, tangerine juice.
Palate: Sweet Chantilly cream and last season strawberries, lemon sherbet, orange macaroons. A light vegetal note, like buttered leeks. A gentle coal dust edge.
Finish: Lush, sweet, citrussy and dense.
Comment: Bags of character here, well integrated with the wood.
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Strawberry yogurt, with some slightly fermented raspberry notes, red and black wine gums and a little suede leather. Given time, the fruity notes give way to some thing all the more malty and some orange fondant.
Palate: More of those strawberries, this time tempered with a touch of pepper and some sooty smoke. The leather notes are also present too.
Finish: Creamy, with a return of the sweet orange fondant alongside some very clean malt.
Comment: A nicely rounded whisky.
