Taster Chris GoodrumNose:
Intense astringent peat, iodine soaked bandages, salt and slabs of malt. Agricole dried fruit, treacle, tar, thick cut orange rind, coffeed wood spice, medicinal herbs and violets.Palate:
Thick treacle, prunes, walnuts, liquorice and dried fruit. Medicinal, smoky with a lovely peat intensity. Neat, the sweet malt and stewed tea balance.Finish:
Long, smoky and earthy with lingering peat, treacle, winey, pruney dried fruit and medicinal notes.Comment:
Absolutely stunning. If this is the distillery I think it is, it continues to impress me with its releases.
