Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Wow. This nose has the attributes only old whisky... no, GOOD old whisky can give; blood orange, huge passion fruit, guava and tropical fruit juice. Peach and rich white grape juices too. Simply stunning.
Palate: Dusty old oak which is given vibrancy with the tropical fruit flavours which come from the nose. A hint of patchouli and black forest gateaux.
Finish: The blood orange again, some delicate nutmeg, strawberryand cherry.
Comment: Flavours like these are the reason wood maturation was invented. Excellent stuff.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky with a sour note of cider apples. Damp warehouse. Reminds me of my granddad's cider cellar. Vetiver root. A touch of liquorice too. The sign of an old whisky. Opens up on complex notes of waxed furniture. A buttery note like apples cooked in butter f
Palate: Crisp, dry. Rich fruit cake. Beewax. Soft spices. Nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon. Hint of molasses.
Finish: Long, dry.
Comment: A rich, complex spicy whisky with perfectly integrated oak. To be savored slowly and preferably neat.
