Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Sweet, melting sugar caramel notes, distant wood smoke, leaf mulch, fresh cut barley, Pontefract cakes.
Palate: There is an oily viscous quality here, olive oil, spices emerge, cardamom, a little fennel. All wrapped in an earthy element.
Finish: Sea salt caramel.
Comment: A great restorative dram, the finish is lovely.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Perfumy, grassy. Sweet aniseed, vanilla. Drying hay. A farm yard note. Butterscotch. Faint smoke. Liquorice.
Palate: Sweet and gently flowing. Then becoming fizzy and crisp. Quite dry as well. Water brings out oiliness and enhances the spiciness with an earthy touch.
Finish: Long, with a salty feel. Soothing with a toffee note.
Comment: A buoyant character. Perfect to get you back on your feet on a crispy morning.
