Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Gentle and shy at first, hides behind its alcohol wire fence. Eventually a lovely grain note comes out, then fresh fruit, melons and strawberry sorbet. A little pine flour cleaner, more spices, ginger, cinnamon.
Palate: Massive creamy notes, oak shavings, bread and butter pudding, hot buttered honey and cornbread. A little menthol. Dark chocolate cake. A little bitter edge too.
Finish: Short, dry and moreish.
Comment: Under all that alcohol lies a gorgeous, delicate dram.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Prickly at first nose. Better let it settle a minute. Malty and fruity. Dried apricots and prunes soaked in a vanilla syrup. Almond cake. A hint of cherries. Gets creamier on time. Touch of ginger.
Palate: Sweet and smooth with a raw silk texture. Slightly tangy on the tongue but less than expected. Fruity and biscuity. Pear and apple flan. Water brings out some bitter notes.
Finish: Dry and spicy.
Comment: Interesting whisky but the high ABV requires some precautions. Time, a dash of water and you have an energetic and talkative dram!
