Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Big and sweet (not surprisingly) but with a spiced/rooty aroma: think clove, allspice, lime chocolate, kirsch and camphor.
Palate: Sweet, but not at all cloying. Reminiscent of Fry’s chocolate creme.
Finish: Clean and balanced.
Comment: A fine addition to the ever-growing whisky liqueur category.
7.7
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fragrant. Floral and balsamic. Eucalyptus. Herbal as well. Obviously a malt whisky liquor. Good oak and cedar aromas.
Palate: Sweet and spicy. The same eucalyptus note, plus cloves, orange, angelica. The sweetness is well mastered. The texture is pleasant. Not cloying at all.
Finish: Clean, spicy with a pleasant dryness.
Comment: Interesting, aromatic and elegant. But is it worth paying a lot for an old whisky liqueur?
