Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Caramel and biscuits. Soft fudge. A trace of Eucalyptus in the background. (Mint YoYos?). More citric acidity with water.
Palate: Initially light, but becomes cloying and denser. Caramel and cereal notes dominate throughout.
Finish: More of the same. Perhaps a trace of lemon right at the end.
Comment: Twix, anyone?
6.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Light. Immature. Dried orange peel, dry oak, dry leaves. Flat champagne (green fruits) Strange. Distant. Lifeless.
Palate: Seems dilute. Splits on the palate with alcohol going one way, fruit going another and oak seeming old and grubby. Off-dry.
Finish: Occurs halfway up the palate. Peach stone bitterness. Abrasive. Very young.
Comment: As rough as an alcoholic one-eyed stevedore’s stubble after a weekend on the tiles.
