Tasting notes
Taster   Kate Packwood
Nose: Pencil shavings and orchard apples, poached pears, walnut cookies and almond croissants. A hint of rose, followed by candy floss, powdered sugar and blackcurrant sorbet.
Palate: At first orange oil and then blackcurrant cordial sweetness, hedgerow notes and dark chocolate, before freshly-picked blackberries and toasted macadamia nuts at the end.
Finish: Long, dark chocolate smoothness.
Comment: Like a wander down an Irish hedgerow in the late summer.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Soft with lots of tropical fruits. Honey cough sweets, eucalyptus, red liquorice. Hay bales in the sunshine.
Palate: That honey cough sweet continues. Then with some fruits elements – toffee apples, chocolate-coated oranges and a little herbal note.
Finish: Those tannins start to grip and then give way to the sweetness. There’s almost a cigar smoke dryness at the end.
Comment: One for the sweet-toothed, and possible an excellent accompaniment to a pint of stout.
