Tasting notes
Taster   Laura Foster
Nose: Dusty hay barn, studded with dried citrus peel and violets. Honey and granola, pecans and orange oils.
Palate: With a fabulous satiny mouthfeel, this is rich, with those pecan and granola aromas carrying onto the palate, alongside cocoa-dusted chocolate truffles laced with cinnamon and chilli, and plain popcorn.
Finish: Glacé cherries, orange peel and ginger on this warming, fruity finish.
Comment: A great after-dinner drop, with lovely richness.

Taster   Mark Newton
Nose: Astonishingly perfumed. Very unusual. Settles to reveal a mealy, biscuity sweetness, dried apricots and sultanas, then peaches, Parma Violets, cashew nuts and crab apple jelly. Weird – but wonderful.
Palate: Lovely silky texture; it’s all honey and cinnamon. Golden syrup. Honeycomb and milk chocolate with gentle woodiness to bring in the balance.
Finish: Chewy, honeyed, just a little woodspice, with touches of melon and kiwi fruit.
Comment: Never going to live up to that nose, but a heck of a charmer.
