Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Standing in a warehouse at the height of summer. Savoury notes of cornbread, fresh oak and sourdough bread. Some redcurrants and raspberry coulis.
Palate: Honey, vanilla custard and toasted coconut. There's a gentle smoke note here too. Candied oranges with dark chocolate. Oak shows its presence too.
Finish: Short and swift, leaving a lovely vanilla-custard note behind.
Comment: Interesting stuff. Very tempting to pour another, sit back and sip.

Taster Lyndsey Gray

Nose: Imagine sitting in a field surrounded by gorse flower, with a picnic of bacon butties, eggs Florentine, banana porridge and freshly brewed coffee.
Palate: The floral aromas dominate with gorse flower, nectar honey and earl grey tea. Milk chocolate and hot almond milk soften the palate with toasted oaks and marmalade.
Finish: Short on flavour, but long with a silky, smooth consistency.
Comment: A healthy brunch date with George Clooney. Smooth, easy going and irresistible.
