Tasting notes

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Relaxed and spicy with a lovely layered effect. Cedar, strawberry, dusty currant leaf, pollen. Water enhances the clean aromatic effect: fresh-cut green grass, unripe peach, apple and light oak.
Palate: Very pure and honey-sweet. Lightly oily with apple, apricot and blackcurrant, then a step-change to intense spices and olive.
Finish: Balanced and long. Some oak. Blackberry.
Comment: As quiet, complex and elegant as the man himself.

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Citrussy. Lemon posset. Fudge. Creamy. Tiramisu (but without the alcohol).Fresh varnish. Ripe banana.
Palate: Sweet and fruity. An incredible taste of pear eau-de-vie. William pear.
Finish: Medium. Ends abruptly. Aftertaste on the skin of the pear.
Comment: Again, nose and palate are very different. But the rich fruity profile, though unlike on nose and palate, is elegant and satisfying.
