Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Highland toffee next to a steaming pot of coffee. Some menthol notes with oak spices and a hint of clove. Marmite on hot buttered toast.
Palate: Another easy sipper at natural strength, this is a rich and complex number with hazelnut praline, coconut creams, some freshly chopped basil and nice red stone fruits
Finish: Ginger cake and lime sorbet. Some spices, long and warming. Tobacco leaves.
Comment: A really lovely dram which is complex from start to finish. A drop of water does it wonders.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Oily with classic pot still graininess. Gooseberry and under-ripe apple follow. Hugely ‘Bourbony’ oaked with what feels like some virgin oak. Coffeed with grippy spices.
Palate: The oils are lighter and it’s richer than the nose suggests. Again exuberantly oaked with a seriously intense spiciness enlivened by biting pot still graininess.
Finish: Long and slightly marc-like with plenty of lightly oiled dried fruit, marzipan. Seriously tongue tingling spices.
Comment: It displays both youthful and mature-ish notes. One thing it definitely doesn’t lack is oak though!
