Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky and fruity. Old furniture, polished floor. Dried apricot. Seville orange marmalade. Old leather. On time, more wood notes. Cedarwood. Touch of creamy toffee. With water, a heady floral note.
Palate: Crisp and dry. Oak takes the lead. More bitter orange. Dry spiciness at mid-palate. Then amaretto.
Finish: Dry and slightly astringent.
Comment: Oak is dominating but in an elegant way. Avoid water, it takes on a bitter side.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Dense and a little unyielding to begin with, possibly due to the chunk American oak. A touch of gentle spice, toffee and fragrant honey appears but that oak is far too dominant.
Palate: Dense and oaked. The oak has hobnail boots and stamps all over the palate. Maybe a touch of soft spice and honey can be detected, but I can’t see the wood for the trees!
Finish: Medium length with a light spiciness and lingering oak.
Comment: All oak and no trousers!
