Tasting notes
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: Very ripe tropical fruits (banana, mango, passion fruit) and high ester, rummy notes. Beneath the fruit is an all-butter croissant, cranachan, and a whiff of modelling glue. Mandarin, sandalwood and rosehip oil, too.
Palate: Mediumlight bodied. Those tropical fruits are back, with some pleasant woodiness but only subtle tannin. Rye-like spices, along with cinnamon, clove, white pepper and nutmeg. Turmeric and cherry.
Finish: Medium. Creaminess emerges.
Comment: A dram I could go back to again.
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: Sweet shop vibes, with foam bananas, strawberry laces and white chocolate. Rum and raisin cheesecake. Icing sugar, sage and tomato stalks.
Palate: Quite herbal upfront, with more of the sage leaf calming things. Ginger snap biscuits appear. The creaminess of the cheesecake note keeps things from hotting up too much.
Finish: Lingering warmth and more of that cheesecake note.
Comment: Impressed at how calm this is, considering the ABV, but the palate took a while to come into its own.
