Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Hard to get into initially, then there's chocolate and a little hazelnut note. Water brings out moorburn, wet coal, treacle scones and a farmyardquality.
Palate: Substantial and lightly gripping. Good structure and smoky taking it up another level.Cypress and light violet. There's a little dried fruit.Muscular.
Finish: Long and lightly fragrant.
Comment: The soft juicy Miyagikyo shows its darkside.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Very shy at first then after a little while this huge peat note swirls up. Some farmyard notes and sweet hay. A doused coal fire.
Palate: Big and lets you know who is boss. Sweet peated notes and a little Christmas cake.
Finish: Just keeps going.
Comment: Needs to be treated with respect, but very satisfying.
