Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Flowery. A suggestion of peppermint. Black chocolate? Mint crisp?
Palate: Memorable for its challenging complexity and subtlety. Flavours beautifully combined. A touch of sherry. Dances on the tongue.
Finish: Smooth, dry smokiness. Very long.
Comment: A great malt that is enigmatic and sometimes seems reclusive.
8.3
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Huge, meaty (Bovril, roasting tin, oxtail soup) treacle, singed, hint of smoke. Massive concentration.
Palate: Robust and powerful with an almost earthy power. A massive grumbly malt which might not have the complexity of others in its weight division but which delivers a mighty punch.
Finish: Long.
Comment: Tell me this and Knockando share similar characteristics. A single Speyside style? I think not.
