Tasting notes
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Stewed fruits and a burst of white pepper smacking you in the face first of all. Followed by Kamado Joe charcoal smoke, liquorice and bitter dark chocolate.
Palate: The white pepper dominates once again with hot toasted oak shavings to match the heat. Slightly earthy undertones develop with rhubarb, coffee beans, toasted sesame oil and chewed tobacco.
Finish: Spicy, dry and chewy.
Comment: There’s no holding back with this Speysider as it hurtles towards the tastebuds.
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Starts off all oily and dark, sort of like a warming motorbike engine. Then a hint of smoke then oranges dipped in dark chocolate. Charred oak notes come though.
Palate: Similar notes to the nose but a distinct spice edge to it. Pickled padron peppers, but tempered with citrus fruit. A little hot toddy, cinnamon, honey and lemon. Brown sugar sweetness and a little tobacco pouch.
Finish: Long with that citrus and mint tinge coming though.
Comment: Wow, sherry meets fruit. A near perfect marriage.
