Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Cherry lips sweets, damson, figs and quince cheese. The alcohol seems higher than the natural ABV, with a spirit note coming through.
Palate: There is a big fruity note on the palate, taking the figs and adding dates to it. A hint of blood orange comes through backed by some fennel.
Finish: A strong note of bitter black tea with lots of brown sugar and some orange bitters.
Comment: Perhaps hasn’t quite found its feet just yet.
7.8
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: A huge, uncompromising, very balsamic sherry monster. A touch of citrus and salt adds freshness.
Palate: Exactly the same as the nose. Balsamic, herbal and a little rough at the edges.
Finish: Good length with a touch of tar, cigar smoke and cinnamon.
Comment: Luckily, it hasn’t been compromised by sulphur tainted sherry butts.
