Tasting notes
Taster   Phoebe Calver
Nose: A beautifully elegant nose, with almond frangipane, chunks of sweet cherry, vanilla fudge and chilli heat.
Palate: Vanilla cream frosting abounds, with some heather honey, malted milk biscuits, almond flakes and ginger biscuits.
Finish: The vanilla never leaves and is complemented by more of the cherry.
Comment: This is simply lovely. Elegant, delicious and something I would like to share.
8.3
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: French toast with cinnamon, ricotta cheese and crème anglaise. A little fresh blueberry, with the merest hint of rooibos and nettle tea with blossom honey.
Palate: Light-medium bodied. Clementine, slightly pithy, with apple-flavoured boiled sweets. More blossom honey, malt biscuits and icing. A hint of bison grass.
Finish: Medium, with apple and vanilla.
Comment: Exhibit A in the contemporary gallery at the Scotch whisky show. Not too complex, but well balanced and flawless. Showing promise.
