Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Rather like a coal fire the next day. Lots of leather and oak notes but tempered with temple insence.
Palate: Very sweet and that smoke note disappears.
Finish: Swift with the faintest smoke.
Comment: A big bold whisky worth tackling.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Big oak interaction at work here linseed oil. Big and leathery/polished wood. Again a lift and intensity of aroma. Sandalwood, exotic spice. Some smoke, dried apple.
Palate: Has weight and some astringency. Grippy oak slightly dominating the spirit character.
Finish: Tight.
Comment: Intense and full-on.
