Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Initially brown toast and honey, there’s a sweet mango ice cream note too. In time a damp warehouse edge creeps in, earthy and richly woody.
Palate: Eccles cakes with butter, flaked almonds and a hint of creamy, slightly spiced Korma sauce. There’s a green cardamom note lurking too.
Finish: Doesn’t hang about to be honest, but still has that creamy spicy edge right to the very end.
Comment: Really enjoyable, the ABV is not intrusive and the dram breathes quality.
8.4
Taster   Christopher Coates
Nose: It’s a fruit basket! Orange zest and kaffir lime, cantaloupe and pink grapefruit. Behind all that, is a little more perfumed, pink lady apple and jasmine.
Palate: Well rounded, with just a little prickle. A little water opens things nicely. The citrus fruits are in abundance, as is the floral character – perhaps a hint of jasmine-infused green tea. Tropical notes emerge, pineapple syrup in particular.
Finish: Medium length, drying gently. More of that floral tea.
Comment: The aromas of a garden party.
