Tasting notes

Taster Michael Jackson

Nose: Jam. Fruit. An apricot danish. Still at breakfast?
Palate: Vanilla. Cream. Bread pudding. Gentle flavours, but delivered in an intense concentration.
Finish: Sappy. Fresh. Oak. Bittersweet.
Comment: Finally made it to lunch.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Lean and sappy. Quite intense: white pepper, powdered ginger/coriander. Softens slightly into toffee apple, toasted tea cake, cigar box.
Palate: Soft, syrupy feel within a pretty firm, dry structure. Serious.
Finish: Spices and oak.
Comment: Old fashioned in every sense and none the worse for that.
