Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Seaweedy. Vegetal. Only slightly medicinal. Musty. Woody.
Palate: Sweet. Spun sugar. Marshmallowish maltiness. Edible seaweed.
Finish: Musky, leafy. At first, seems a little dried-out and tired, then a leafy and peppery late rally.
Comment: This seems far less lively and rounded than the 1987 whisky bottled in 1992.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Intense with a clean sharp character. Tarry notes, engine oil, dried seaweed and a weird cabbagey note. Peat/smoked tea.
Palate: Surprisingly soft given the nose nutty with great crisp maltiness. Smoke.
Finish: Long and smoky.
Comment: A good example that harks back to the cask strength 10 Years Old but with extra weight (and tarry smoke!).
7.8
