Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Boozy peaches, floral perfume, hot fudge, honey and vanilla madeleines. A little glacé cherry. Alcohol-soaked wood, dunnage warehouses. Mascarpone cream and almond Baileys.
Palate: Coconut cake with chocolate praline, Victoria sponge cake, gets very jammy. Carrots with sesame seeds and honey. Cola cube sweets and agave syrup.
Finish: Orange cough sweets and a little menthol edge. Dries with vanilla cream.
Comment: Big and punchy. A good sipper. A lovely orange thread runs through it too.
8.2
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: Poached pears, caramelised sugar and mango sorbet with a sparkling cider finish. Metallic edge on the tip of the nose underlying salted butter and parmesan cheese.
Palate: Definitely hitting the umami and bitter senses with parmesan, sautéed mushrooms and green tea leaves. Sugared almonds, coffee cake and barbequed tropical fruits appear over time.
Finish: Waves of bitter tones and sweetness fighting against each other.
Comment: An interesting balance of flavours.
