Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Oily, big and peachy (and come to think of it, beachy). Whisky-saturated barrels. A strangely appetising mix of apricot, ripe fruit and wet oilskins.
Palate: Lush and rounded with a rich, deep almost leathery structure. Unctuous and fruity. Balanced.
Finish: Big, long and oily.
Comment: Seems like a younger whisky, if so it has held its own very well in some pretty extraordinary company.
8.3
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: A sour note at start. Cow milking station. Then exotic fruit. Caramelised pineapple, dry coconut. Tamarind juice.
Palate: Syrupy. Mouth-coating. Sweet but with a good balance between sweet and sour. Coconut flan. Fresh ginger
Finish: Balanced. Sappy. Hint of mint and ginger.
Comment: Forget about the first nose and enjoy that luscious exotic profile. But no water, thank you.
