Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: The smell of Autumn: leaf mulch, damp earth, wet moss. Dark fruits, vanilla custard and creamy oak notes.
Palate: Plenty of dried fruit and dark chocolate. Lots of spices, cinnamon and nutmeg; brown sugar. A sea salt edge too.
Finish: Sweet and dry.
Comment: Pulteney with a twist, interesting stuff.
8.2
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Earthy. Humus, moss, bracken. Medlars, over ripe quince. Gets creamy. Custard and apple flan.
Palate: Nicely flowing. Sweet and round. Oak is perfectly integrated. Dried apple. Hint of cider. Then some toffee, close to salted butter caramel fudge.
Finish: Round, slightly spicy.
Comment: An outdoor dram which comes back indoors as it opens. For a winter warmer up.
