Tasting notes

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Mature. Inside of an old wardrobe. Leather. Date, chocolate, coffee, black cherry, cigar. Good caramelisation and a tingle of sweet spices.
Palate: As nose suggests, in the bigger camp. Rich and precise. Bitter chocolate into raisin. Great balance.
Finish: Long powerful.
Comment: An elegant old gentleman. Great balance. Highly recommended.

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Intense. Woody. Tickley. Rhubarb pie. Corn syrup. Exotic fruit. Pineapple juice. Hint of mango. Wood gradually withdrawing, letting fruit in.
Palate: Velvety but crisp. Oaky grip. A wave of liquorice (aniseed flavours and bitter root). Wild chervil. Spicy (tabasco, hint of caraway).
Finish: Everlasting and spicy. Liquorice.
Comment: A big guy. On a frosty Christmas Eve maybe, waiting for Santa Claus by the fireplace. No risk of falling asleep with this fellow!
